“The Sisters”

 Before the fairy reaches the cabin…

 Before the gift finds its keeper,

Before the scroll is read —

There is a forest that drinks silence and exhales memory.

And in that forest, something has returned.

 She arrived without a sound 

the third sister, the lost one, the one who crossed the veil and did not come back.

 She is no longer nymph, not quite spirit.

She stands at the water’s edge, barefoot on moss, draped in ghostlight.

She does not move.

She does not speak.

She only waits — eyes fixed on the trees ahead, as if expecting someone.

 That someone is the fairy.

 She will come here soon, searching for a sister, led by the scroll and the bird and the pull in her chest.

But she will not pass easily.

 Because the ghost now guards what lies beyond.

She went there alive, but returned dead.

 And though she does not speak, her message is clear:

No one else may go that way. Not again.

 Behind her, the other two nymphs remain — still living, still rooted to this place.

But even they seem unsure now.

Even they do not cross the stream.

 Near the banks, where the forest listens more than it speaks,

six signs lie hidden — each one a symbol, a fragment of a greater spell now unfolding.

 Hidden Object Meanings (Mythic Symbols):
