Rescue by the Enemy

This piece depicts the mermaid from the previous piece "Transformation". She is now awake and in human form. A ship is approaching and the people in it already see her. 
They have been trying to hunt mermaids and she brought all of her courage trying to communicate with them. 

Her unexpected transformation is keeping her safe in this moment. The humans don’t know what she is. They’re about to find a stranded woman, vulnerable and in distress, not a mermaid. 

On this ship, one person will have an undying spark of feelings for this creature. The Cupid’s bow is about to strike, the anchor is about to hold everyone down, the mermaid is ready to defend herself, but at her feet, a new beginning already has her.
